Frequently Asked Questions
about Using your ForeverMail account
I forgot my password. What should I do? Submit the Mail My ID form and we'll mail your Secret ID to your current destination account. If you can't receive mail at your current destination account, then e-mail us at support@forevermail.com and ask for your Secret ID. We'll ask you for the Answer to your Special Question to confirm your identity. So if you remember it, you should include it in your initial e-mail in order to hasten the process.
How do I change my password? You can change your password using our online Account Management tools.
Is my password case-sensitive? Yes. For example, the password "Sec6*tID" is not the same as "sEC6*Tid".
How do I make changes to my account? When you change jobs or e-mail providers, you will need to enter the Account Management area for your account and specify your new forwarding address and any other information that has changed. This new forwarding address will need to be confirmed by the same method as when you first subscribed. And once again, the process is completely automated, so that the changes take place
immediately
upon receipt of your e-mail reply to the confirmation request. No delays and no hassle! Your mail is forwarded to the new address, and you don't have to worry about missing any e-mail or contacting any of your correspondents
How do I get my ForeverMail address to show as my "From" and "Reply-To" addresses on e-mail messages that I send out? That depends on what software you use to send your e-mail. If you use an e-mail program on a PC like Outlook, Outlook Express or Eudora, then go here for instructions. If you use Hotmail or Yahoo or some other web-based e-mail program, then you usually cannot change your "From" or "Reply-to" addresses.
Check with your mail service to be certain.
I changed my "From" address to by my ForeverMail address, but now I can't send mail. What's going on? As a spam prevention measure, some ISPs (including us) will not send mail through their SMTP servers unless it is "From" an address they have provided. So when
you try to send mail "from" your ForeverMail address, it will be rejected. In this case, you should use the ForeverMail SMTP server. Please e-mail support@forevermail.com for details.
What is the size limit for e-mail messages? ForeverMail
does not impose size limits on the messages we forward. However, your destination account may have limits on the size of your mailbox or on the size of the messages you can receive there.
