How ForeverMail works
ForeverMail provides a safe, consistent home for the identity you choose to use on the Internet. You are free to choose the actual
connectivity, e-mailbox and/or web hosting services that you use. Our network of servers instantly responds to any e-mail sent to your permanent address or requests for your web pages. For
e-mail we act as a way station for your mail, accepting in your messages and then sending them on to the e-mail account(s) of your choice - even holding messages if your server is temporarily
unavailable. For your web address, our servers act as the intermediary for browsers, instantly redirecting requests for your permanent address to the actual location on the Internet your website
resides.
The E-mail forwarding process
ForeverMail's e-mail (and URL) forwarding works the same way that the post office forwards snail mail (only we don't use yellow stickers.)
The sender (maybe a friend of yours) puts your ForeverMail address in the To: field of a message. When the message is sent, it comes to the ForeverMail server. The ForeverMail server looks up the actual
destination address you have set up, and resends the original message to your mail account at the destination address. The whole process usually takes less than a minute.
When you read the message, it is exactly as your friend wrote it. Your ForeverMail address is still in the To: field. So you can
filter your incoming mail by who it is addressed to. ForeverMail makes it easy for one family to share the same ISP mail account, since you can tell instantly which messages are for you and which are not.

Starting on the left of the diagram,
you select your permanent, personalized e-mail address, and tell us where you want the mail to be delivered.
Every time an e-mail gets sent to your address, we accept it on one of our servers and then forward it on to your "real" mailbox at your ISP. You then read your mail on the web (if you have a Hotmail or Yahoo-type account) or download it from your POP server to the Inbox on your computer.

The ForeverMail Subscription Process
You can subscribe for ForeverMail by creating your address and completing a subscription form. When you submit one of our online
subscription forms, your data is processed automatically and an e-mail message is sent to the address you have specified as your forwarding
address. The purpose of this e-mail message is to ensure that we can reach the destination address you specified and begin forwarding your
mail to it. Once you reply to this e-mail message, or "confirmation request" (as per the instructions contained in the confirmation request),
your subscription will be complete. On average, the subscription process takes about three minutes.
Since the entire subscription process is automated, once you confirm your destination address you can begin using your ForeverMail service
immediately. All mail addressed to you at your ForeverMail address will be forwarded automatically and immediately to the destination address
you specified on the subscription form. Tell everyone your new ForeverMail address, and all your mail will reach you at your current location.
Making changes to your account
When you change jobs or e-mail providers, you will need to log in to the Account Management area and specify your new destination address.
This new destination address will need to be confirmed by the same method as when you first subscribed. And once again, the process is completely automated, so that the changes take place immediately
upon receipt of your e-mail reply to the confirmation request. No delays and no hassle! Your mail is forwarded to the new address, and you don't
have to worry about missing any e-mail or contacting any of your correspondents.
